Open Doors for Foster Youth: How You Can Help Transition-Age Foster Youth Find Stability and Joy This Holiday Season
As the holiday season approaches, it is a time to reflect on the values that make a difference: warmth, security, and community. But for foster youth, these essentials can be hard to find, especially during the holiday season. That is why The RightWay Foundation is launching our Open Doors for Foster Youth holiday campaign, which is backed by our four pillars that support transition-age foster youth in their journey: Mental Health, Housing, Employment, and Community. With these four pillars, we aim to provide the comfort and stability that every young adult deserves this holiday season.
At The RightWay Foundation, we work year round to support transition-age foster youth in their transition to independence, building a foundation for brighter futures through our four pillars. However, the holiday season can bring challenges, with many transition-age foster youth facing cold nights, limited resources, and uncertainty about whether or not they will have a roof over their heads. Our campaign aims to meet these critical needs by providing the support that foster youth need to live independent and successful lives.
Each of our four pillars plays a role in this campaign, making a lasting impact on the lives of transition-age foster youth: Mental Health: We provide mental health support to help foster youth heal from trauma and manage stress. Housing: Our campaign will focus on providing safe, warm housing options, ensuring that foster youth have a secure place to call home during the holidays and beyond. Employment: By supporting job readiness and employment opportunities, we empower youth to build independence and stability for the future. Community: We are building a community that cares through events and workshops, creating a supportive environment where foster youth feel they belong.
Our holiday campaign aims to open doors of opportunity to our foster youth by building strong foundations to live sustaining adulthoods, grounded in mental health, launched by supportive housing, and solidified through employment and community. Here’s how you can make a difference:
Make a Donation: Your contribution can provide vital resources like safe housing, warm clothing, mental health services, and job training. Together, we can help foster youth experience a secure and fulfilling holiday season. Share our Mission: Spread the word on social media or within your community. Raising awareness is key to increasing support for foster youth during this critical time.
By supporting The RightWay Foundation this holiday season, you are providing the foundation for transition-age foster youth to thrive. Together, we can make this holiday season brighter and more hopeful for young adults who need it the most.
