Navigating LA: A Guide to Free Resources for Foster Youth!
It’s no secret that Los Angeles contains the largest population of foster youth in the country, many of whom are entering adulthood in vital need of housing and other support services.
Countless youth report being unable to locate resources for which they qualify, and that’s no surprise – Los Angeles contains over 71,000 nonprofits, but only a fraction of them cater to transition-aged youth.
To help with this, we’ve compiled a list of resources across the county that are available free of charge. Our list includes food banks, housing support leads, and other programs designed to provide foundational support to current and former foster youth (which typically takes the form of familial support for non-foster youth).
